Motor industry e-commerce specialist epyx has appointed Aditya Varadpande as managing director.
He joined the company in 2015 as director of international business, growth and marketing, following its acquisition by Fleetcor in late 2013.
Aditya will report to Alan King, president of Fleetcor UK and Australasia.
Previously, Varadpande held a number of key positions in sales, marketing, and product management across Europe. Prior to joining epyx, he was commercial director and European marketing director for B2B industrial and consumer products company Danaher.
Aditya said: “We’ll be looking to build on the company’s achievements by continuing to work closely with our fleet clients, garage network and wider 1link community. 1link platform development will be at the top of our agenda and we’ll be looking to innovate further with new technology and new thinking.”
Epyx specialises in e-commerce solutions for the automotive sector. Its best-known products are the 1link platforms, which manage vehicle procurement, maintenance, hire, disposal and relicensing.
They have been adopted by fleets operating a total of more than four million vehicles, 18,000 service providers, and nearly all motor manufacturers on behalf of their franchise networks in the UK, France, Portugal, Australia and Republic of Ireland.
King said: “I am delighted that Aditya has taken on the post of managing director. During his time at epyx, he has led new growth initiatives and played a key role in the international expansion of the business.
“With Aditya’s background and his time in the industry, I have no doubt he’ll be instrumental in driving the innovations needed to further develop epyx and its products to meet the changing automotive and leasing industry.”
